Continuing the Sphere series is a brief look at the background story of each of the girls, plus as much as I can give you about the personalities behind the faces.
Music Ray’n is a notoriously secretive agency, so not a whole lot is known about the girls and their private lives. These are all pieces of information picked up over the years from magazine interviews, radio shows and blog posts that I’ve merely reordered to make for palatable reading. All of this in the public domain (albeit in Japanese) so no, I don’t have any insider scoop on the girls or where they live or what they had for breakfast yesterday. Actually scratch that, I know there’s a 60% chance that Haruka ate yude tamago from Family Mart for breakfast yesterday.

I like Sphere.
Scratch that, I love Sphere. But you didn’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
Despite that, I have never written a post specifically about Sphere (or maybe I have, I don’t quite recall). So to correct this horrible statistic I have written what amounts to a thesis, which will be split into various parts to allow easier digestion. I guess you could say this is for the fans with a long attention span who would like to know about the group’s history and all that jazz. Be warned that a lot of this will come with a Tomatsu Haruka bias.

As promised, a quick look through Tomacchan’s second photobook release. It’s been just 4 months since the release of HARUKAs so it’s no wonder people grumble about over-exposure on a Hirano Aya level. Anyway, I’ve got two copies of High Touch in this time around so there’s a 33.3% chance I may pull one of them apart to scan (but don’t hold your breath). With 5 singles released over a one-and-a-half year period, Tomatsu Haruka’s debut album Rainbow Road finally arrives. Not sure that anybody’s really paying attention apart from the hardcore fans (such as yours truly) though, since her popularity within the Music Ray’n circle probably ranks second to that of the K-ON!-crest-of-wave-riding Toyosaki Aki.
